So my wife and I just found out she is pregnant and so we need a new (or used) family vehicle. We want one with good MPG and we want something very reliable. We'd prefer a sedan probably beacuse of the price/mpg factor but if there's a decently priced mini SUV like a scion xB or something, then that would be fine with us.
We've been looking at Scion XB's, Mazda 3's and Mazda 6's mostly....the Mazda 6 looks very nice and room-ey but I think it is a little bit out of our price range so we test drove the Mazda 3 yesterday and really liked how it drove...but if we're going to be having a kid is it going to be safer to have the bigger vehicle?
So safety is another important thing. So yeah, that's pretty much it...we don't really like Fords, Chevys, or Dodges.

If you're not totally opposed to a minivan, the MAZDA5 is pretty sweet.

If you want a good selection id try a parts locator. One place that can find you a good short or long block for a Audi A4 dodge engine is TEXAS Junkyards, Junk Yards in TEXAS TX salvage recycler. They have a link somehow to multiples of thousands of recycling centers and will locate the best one for you.
