I have a 1999 2WD Suburban and the brakes seem to grab intermittently when stopping and appear to stay engaged briefly upon release.
One shop sent me to a ring and pinion place and they said my rear end was fine and the problem is either the leaf springs or the collar on the front of my transmission. One transmission mount was replaced and the brakes have been checked and adjusted but the problem remains.
