I have a 2002 Audi A4 - 1.8T with a CVT transmission.
       The transmission is shot and local transmission shops can not get parts from Audi, only a complete transmission which with installation costs more than the car is worth.  I've had nothing but problems with this piece of junk and will never consider another Audi for myself or for my family members.

The trouble started our with a flashing light and difficulties in engaging the reverse gear.  Now the car doesn't move until you press down the accelerator and then it suddenly jumps. This has ruined the engine mounts.

Does anyone know if internal parts are available and where to get them?
If anyone is looking to go after Audi, I'll be happy to join.

Dear AUDI owner
It's very good that you have this nice car
and I have too
But unfortunately we have one big problem
AUDI's CVT transmission is the best and worst transmittion in the wolrd
This transmission is stamping and you cann't repair it
Only one way is to find used transmission and fit it to your AUDI
but no one give you the guarantee thet transmittion will work
Reason: this transmission is very fragile.
I throw out my CVT transmission ant bought 5spd manual transmission
Unfortunately it's best option I could find.
maybe you are more lucky and you can find used CVT transmission in good condition
Value for used CVT is up to 20000$
New one 8000$
yor cars price is 12 000

12000 + 8000=20000
