Hi,

I need to buy a nice sturdy car for my wife and I. We don't do much driving. Just around out small town or maybe making a 50 mile trip to and from some weeks.

I bought a 1992 325iBMW about 4 years ago. We've put about 40,000 miles on it and it cost me about $6300. I figure we got a good deal as it's still going strong.

I need to buy another one as I said above. I've got my eye on a couple at a dealership that carries lots of cars like this.

I can get a good AWD 2001 BMW with about 85,000 miles on it for about 13,500.

I hear pros and cons. When you have a problem it's expensive. But it's a good sturdy automatic that my wife will be driving.

Was I just lucky with the 1992 325i?

Any thoughts would be great.
