Hey, I have a question. I have a 1989 Bonneville LE with 122K on it. Excellent Condition. No rpoblems except for minor, non-threatening probs. My question is, does anyone have one? At 122K is it probable to have tranny problems? I just want to know if anyone can help me. Thanks

Yes, I have minor, non-threatening problems. I even have a name for them: kids. And yes, it is possible to have tranny problems, typically between 1 and 300K miles.

If this is the orginal tranny, you have done well! I would expect serious problems such as a major rebuild at any day now. Torque convertor sheds metal, circulates trough tranny, tears up clutches and planetary gear. About 1,700 to 2,200 bucks depending on where you go.
