My son has a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V with a 6 speed manual trans. His clutch went out and he removed his trans to replace it. He also checked the shift fork and other things that he could get to with out removing any gears or shafts while he had it out. After re-installing all of this into his car he can't shift. The gear shift is in Nuetral position and his trans is stuck in first. He can't shift into any other gear and can't move his shifter into anything other than nuetral. His clutch works when depressed and his linkage moves freely when unhooked from trans. but doesn't when hooked back up. What could be the problem? He is at college and about 3 hours away from me so I'm just posting what he has told me, I don't have first hand knowledge. Please help if you can.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a diagram of this transmission online?
I have a 97 eclipse manual transmission and my car does this when its cold out, I just drive it for a bit and let it warm up and it shifts fine after like 5 minutes._________________________Check out: Autopartswarehouse.com
