Can anyone tell me why a Red Top battery is not compatible with a '92 Jeep Wrangler Renegade 4.0L/6 Cyl., "S" VIN? We bought one for our '02 Tacoma, and no problem except we had to add a spacer to raise the battery. Red Tops are one of the best out there, and I would love to be able to use one in the Jeep. Is there an adjustment that we could do to make it fit?

Not sure why optima doesn't list this option for your jeep.. But I did goto the Optima battery home page and did the "Battery Selector" which turned out that only three batteries are compatible with you jeep.. and All are the "yellow" top.. Perhaps it's within the design of the red top that doesn't allow for proper placement.
