Run Flat Tires

Purchased a new 2006 BMW 330XI in Oct '06.  In less than two years and 16,000 miles, have experienced three (3) issues with these tires.  In every instance, needed a replacement tire to the tune of $500.  Have suffered a flat (back rear passenger side) for no apparent reason--meaning there was nothing to support why the tire went flat and two occasions (right front driver's side) where the tire had a bubble.  The BMW dealership repair rep stated it was due to potholes.
I believe there is something wrong with the tire themselves.  I own an Audi A-4 and a 1993 Toyota Corolla. Never had a problem with the tires on those vehicles and was able to drive at least 50K miles before needing to replace the tires.
BMW should be responsible for replacing these RFT tires, especially when the car is under warranty and has less than 60K miles on the tires.
