I'm sure this isn't new to sellers of SUVs, but be careful when you take your suv in to trade at dealerships. The prices being quoted consumers is ludicrous. I have heard stories all over the place of offers at 30% to 50% of blue book! I would think you are almost better off having to pay for more gas and wait for firmer prices on your vehicles!

I agree with the earlier poster that advertising your car on the net can get you a very good price comparing to selling it to a dealer ship or trade it at a dealership. Give a try and write back your experience.
