I've been having a problem with the air conditiong system... When I try to turn on the AC, air blows out of the vents but it's not cold (it used to work before). At first I thought there was a leak and brought it in to a garage to have it checked but there was no leak and that it was still full of refrigerant. The mechanic told me that it might be something electrical inside the dashboard but it's a pricy fix. Has anyone out there ever had this problem before and if so how did you fix it? I cant afford to have it repaired and I need a do-it-yourself guide... I'm pretty savvy around the engine but I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

I would suggest alldatadiy.com. It's a scaled down version of what most shops use - gives trouble trees, wiring diagrams, step-by-step instructions with pictures, etc...
As to what's wrong, you might check to see if the compressor actually turns on when you turn the A/C on. If it doesn't, it's probably just a relay.
