99 Silverado HVAC Blower Switch - 1st and 2nd speed does not change; 3, 4, and 5 works correctly. Any suggestions?

Check the blower motor resistors.

Could you provide the location? Also, my thought was if it was an open resistor the speed would increase - thoughts? Thanks...
|

At the right lower Inner Panel on the HVAC module assembly near the blower motor,

Thank you to igate... I removed the lower trim panel and I disconnected the connector from the resistor board and verified the fan switch was sending voltage to the different pins (A different pin for each speed). I purchased a new board for about $55 and everything works perfect. Removing the resistor connector from the blower motor required removal of the cover... Regards.
