For the last eight months, I have ahd my car in and out of the Saturn Service center to fix a problem they can't find.  It seems that the engine will start racing all by itself.  If I'm not paying attention the car will take right off and accelerate at will.  I think there is something wronf with the computer itself or maybe the cruise control mechanism that is causing the problem, but after 10-12 trips into the shop, noone can seem to find the problem.  I even purchased the extende warranty, but beacuse no part is "broken" the warranty will not cover the repair of any parts.  Do I really hav to have an accident before th dealer/service department listens to any complaints!  Anyone else having these type of issues, specifically with an Ion, or ingeneral with a Saturn?  

Contact the regional GM rep and explain the problem. This is also covered under most states "lemon laws"
