Im planning to buy my mum a Volvo XC60 as my mother's day present to her. I've known volvo to be confident in terms of safety innovations like padded dashboards, three-point seatbelts, and the like. Can i ask for testimonials about your experience with volvo cars? are volvo car parts really reliable and durable? thanks a million!

Volvo's are very reliable. I help run a car small business and we deal in volvo alot. I think you mean the xc70. I haven't heard of the XC60... but the xc70. I would get an 04 or newer. The 00' through 03' have more tranny issues. They are really solid and the parts are durable. As for the XC90 for more info. Don't buy the T6 they also have tranny problems. Get the 2.5T.
