I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee Ltd. The 5.2 litre V-8 MPI engine. I am coming up on 188,000 miles and I have just had the 'coolant sensor bad' message show up in the Vehicle information center. Can anyone tell me what to check and where to start? Thank you.

Hi the coolant sensor is on top of the motor. look down where the radiator hose is. its down in there. you can follow the wires to it. it costs about 14 bucks. oh and do it while its cool
