By the way, I do not own the dealership, I simply work here as a Finance Manager and report the news to you.  Take it however you'd like.

Those people were certainly not educated.  I don't feel bad for them, becasue they didn't do any research and walked into a dealership, essentially blind.  That may sound mean, but it's what car dealerships do and there is a wealth of information on this subject floating around.

You all here are smart.  You're doing your homework and stand a much better chance of getting the best deals possible.  For your sake do your homework before buying.  Be careful of the wanna be car buying "gurus" floating around the internet, I've read these peoples sites and some of their tips are laughable.

From what I've seen of this site, they seem to give a lot of credible information and that's why I've decided to post here.

If you've got any questions please feel free to ask me.  I've been in the car business for close to nine years and can give credible advice on most anything car buying related.

In the mean time...

Take care and beware,
J the Car Guy

J, I was in used cars in New York for 16 years, and towards the end the amount of profit we could make on a domestic sedan was incredible.  Going to Southern and snapping up Chrysler and Ford sedans for 1/2 of what we could retail them for made for some happy salesmen come payday when those types of people you describe would come through the doors.  There is a ton of information out there - some good and some useless - but in 2008 there is no excuse for not at least doing a little research before making a purchase.  Best of luck!
