I just installed a Reman-Tranny in my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo. Here is my vehicle info: 1999 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 V6 Automatic Transmission
I installed the new transmission and torque converter. The vehicle starts and I can shift into all gears, however, it will not engage into any of the gears and drive. I checked all of the electronic connections and they seem to be in-tacked.
I am beside myself, any one out there have any tips? Or, know whats wrong?

I think it is time to take a line pressure test. Are you sure you had the torque converter back in the pump all the way, before you tightened the bell bolts?

As far as I know I had it back all the way. There were three stages that it went through until it set back in there... Push back, turn, bush back, turn, and then push back. Not only that but I was able to tighten the bell housing bolts with out any problem. But I have not tried the line pressure test yet.
I drained the fluid from the pan and found that the fluid was very dark and full of shavings. I am beginning to think I was sent a bad tranny. There was more than a teaspoon of shavings there.

I thought you posted this as a reman trans. Did this trans come from a Salvage yard?
