AKRON, OH, APRIL 10, 2008 – With engines revving for another thrilling NASCAR season, the Akron Jackson Hewitt Tax Service® is offering area race fans a one-of-a-kind opportunity – the chance to get up close and personal with an exact replica of a NASCAR racecar. Jackson Hewitt, a leader in the tax preparation industry and partner of Roush-Fenway Racing, will be steering the No. 16 Ford Fusion show car into town on April 15, 2008 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Middlebury Marketplace, 877 E Exchange St, Akron, OH for an up-close and personal experience.

This local pit stop on an 11-month tour of the U.S. is designed to let racing enthusiasts experience first-hand the car raced by acclaimed driver Greg Biffle in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™. Fans will have a chance to check out the car both inside and out and have their photos taken up against the colorful paint scheme. Racing representatives will be on hand to answer questions about NASCAR, the number one spectator sport in the country.

“Most race fans only get a glimpse of these tremendous vehicles as they speed around the track. After checking out the Show Car, fans can stop by the nearest Jackson Hewitt office – inside Middlebury Plaza –to speak with a tax preparer about preparing and filing their 2007 income tax return. “It’s not too late,” notes Erik Ricci. “We want area tax filers to know that they still have time to come in and file before the deadline. We are accepting appointments and also available for those who stop by without an appointment. But, for those who do not have all the items they need to file and may need to file for an extension, our staff is available to assist them in filing for the extension and estimating any tax liability that may be due. Although extended hours run through April 15, our offices will be open to serve customers past the April 15 deadline. “
