Original owner of an 04 chrysler sebring drop top with 105k on it and looking for a change. Budget is low, i.e. less then 10k(trying to avoid car payment as sebring is paid off) and best options I have come across are the Saab and Volvo. I am not swedish but my other car is a a Volvo S60 2.5T so perhaps some bias has leaked in to my search. Considered Mustang but i am 33, married with a 2yr old and 1yr old so thought that car didnt quite resemble my place in the world! I could afford a 3 series with close to 100k miles on it but I see no point and dont need the 'status car' just a nice convertible while living in sunny california. Any people who own either or have opinions on which is better deal. I recently tested a '99 9-3 with 74k listed for $7400 and '00 C70 with 81k for $7999. My takeaways were that the saab was more fun to drive with impresive gas mileage for performance while C70 seemed to ooze better quality with materials and styling.
