As most RX-8 owners in this forum, I have had issues with my RX-8 stalling, press the pedal to the floor only to have a turtle pass you by, go out in cold weather to start it only to find out it won't, and the rough idle problem. I have yet to need to get the engine replaced but have had it into the dealership a couple times only to be told the same story of "I can't find a problem"....If I can come to this forum in a matter of seconds and find out the engine is the problem then I'm sure all the mechanics and service people at Mazda know the fix when customers come in complaining of these symptoms. The Mazda Mechanic who's been kind enough to answer questions on this site stated that Mazda cared about the safety of their customers then why is it there are so many complaining about the exact same issues and Mazda has done nothing but add problems to all of these RX-8 owners lives. You know as well as I do that Mazda is going to fight having to fix a lot of the issues because the fix is expensive and Mazda sure isn't going to eat their profits to help out their customers...I mean come on, that would mean they actually do care instead of feeding everyone a line of BS. I'll have to say my issues aren't to the extent of the problems I've read about online but it has persuaded me to get rid of my RX-8 and tell anyone and everyone I see looking at a car or in general conversation to stay away from Mazda as from what I've read they aren't willing to fix the problem nor do they truly care about their customers. If I can keep Mazda from screwing over a few more people and pass the word on then I'll be happy. Should Mazda change their attitude and train their dealerships on true customer service that could change my opinion (maybe). Everyone has busy lives and likes to get their toys and the last thing they need is another money-hungry, do nothing company causing more stress and problems in their daily lives. A company that did care would get their service staff trained on how to handle these problems and get them fixed CORRECTLY.
