No matter what setting I select all I get is uncontrolable heat . My mechanic is stumped . He replaced the blender door motor and a sensor and it worked 3 or 4 times and then went back to heat only even on the vent or AC setting. Any help would be appreciated .

My 99 had the same problem, stuck on AC, no heat in winter and lucky our winters are mild for that year. Check your system with an OBD reader, any fuses that would operate the damper (has a small motor that changes the flow of hot or cold air) and try to decide if it is a simple repair. If not and you have very long arms, you can reach it thru the glove compartment but otherwise the entire dash has to be removed, about 4 hours of labor. The part is $100 +/- and mine cost me $500 to repair at an independent shop I trust and I don't trust the dealers anymore. The damper motor did work after I tested it (?!) and I suspect it may have become unplugged from rough driving or bad roads. If you can actually get to it thru the glove compartment, remove the glove compartment door first, check to see if it is plugged in. It has a multi-plug connector.
