In the last 6 months, my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan has died at a stoplight shortly after filling the gas tank. It was intermittent, but now it has happened the last two times I refueled. It has been at different gas stations each time. The van has 73000 miles on it. I always rotate the gas cap until it clicks. Any ideas?

If your check engine light is not on then you probably have a loss of power or a bad connection. If your check engine light is on then go have it scanned.

You have any luck getting this fixed? Mine is doing exactly the same thing. One person suggest the EVAP system. Please let me know if you've had any luck because everyone's stumped around here. Thanks

I have a 2006 caravan and my husband was driving it today and everything shut off and he ended up rear ending someone. The breaks stopped once the car shut off! Any info on what happened with your van would be a great help! Thanks.

If it is the EVAP system then try removing your gas cap and/or leaving it loose . If that works, then buy a new one from walmart .

My 2004 does this also. I have noticed if I don't have to stop once I out gas in the van surges forward. Has anyone figured out what this is?
