Anyone have or hear of a problem with the rear door glass exploding. I've just had the glass replaced for the second time in a year. Both times the vehicle was parked (different locations) and the entire window was shattered. Glass in and out of the vehicle, completely shattered out to the all edges, held in place with the sealant. Not much of a hole in the center, and because of the location the vehicle was parked in, I am sure it's not vandalism, or anything striking the glass. Wondering if it is a stress problem with the door frame, or faulty glass.

Hi,
I just replaced for a second time too my rear windows almost at the same exact date 1 year later.
The guy that replace the window told me it's frequent with this kind of glass.
Here in Montreal it was very cold last week and now it's more warm, exactly like last year same date.
It's not acceptable and I will write to Dodge because my insurance will go up if I have to replace a windows every years.
Thanks

Strangely enough. This just happened to me. We have an '05 Grand Caravan and while I was out cleaning up after the snow storm, brushing off the front of the van I heard a "Whhoooomph" sound and saw that the rear glass had just exploded.
I'm releived to see that I'm not the only one. It is still under factory warranty so I'm going to fight for that coverage.
Anybody else have this happen?

This just happened to us last night. My daughter went out to get in the car, shut the driver's side door and the rear glass exploded. I did notice that the hole was in the center where the wiper motor was. Has anyone had contact with Dodge as to the problem? This obviously is not crash related.

wow... moms 92 voyager did the same thing... just blew out while she was driving... she did have window tint film on the inside so it held together for a few days until she could get it replaced...
i wonder if the vent trap doors are stuck shut and the change in pressure is greater than the burst strength of the glass.

Well, I guess I'll join the club! Overnight we heard a loud popping, shattering sound on the driveway. This morning the back window of our 95 Caravan is shattered from the center top, small hole, pieces on the driveway but mostly still intact with a sheen of ice all over the window. The windshield is icy too, but fortunately not damaged. No sign of vandalism, and it's a very safe neighborhood. Bought the car used, and I think it was garage kept.
