Hi,
I hope someone can help me figure this out. A while ago, my PU started acting strangely. Every so often, when I turned the key it wouldn't even turn over. After some jiggling, it eventually would start.
The other day, I had it warming up (it was below 0) and it suddenly stopped running altogether.
This morning, I put some jumper cables on it an it started cranking -- the key wasn't even in the ignition! I tried using the key to turn it on and off, and it just kept cranking -- even when it had started.
Do you think this is the ignition? coil? some sort of short somewhere.......or some other gremlin/poltergeist.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks.

First of all what year is your truck? Secondly yes I do believe that is is something to do with your ignition and some part of it is staying on until it drains your battery. If it is a newer truck then it is possible that it is the engine's computer. Do you have an alarm and or a keyless start. If so check the connections.
