pick up truck suggestions for a woman? i don't want something too big for me.. i want something that are both good in aesthetics and functionality..

How about a Tacoma? not too big, nice lookin', should get the job done...

It really depends on what you're planning on using it for. If you don't tow much, if at all, then you probably don't need a 3/4 or 1-ton. If you're just looking for something to periodically haul around stuff, but it's going to be primarily a daily-driver, I'd take a look at some of the midsize models. I personally like the Nissan Frontier, but a lot of people prefer the Toyota Tacoma. Both are worth a look. I would definitely go for the V6 in both cases, since the four-cylinder models are rather underpowered, in my opinion. Yes, they get better fuel economy, but unless that's your primary concern, go with the six.
You might also want to take a look at the Honda Ridgeline and the Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Both of them are somewhat unconventional for trucks, but will probably offer most of the utility you're looking for in a slightly user-friendlier package than conventional pickups. Hope this helps.
