I have an opportunity to purchase a 2006 Chrysler 300 from a dealer. The car has 44 miles on it and has never been titled. Is this car considered new when negotiating the price? Thanks
If I'm not mistaken, a car is considered new until it's titled but to be honest I would be a bit concerned about a 2006 with only 44 miles. I think you should do a carfax on it, also you need to get it checked out thoroughly by a mechanic new or not because with it sitting there so long with only 44 miles chances are you had long long periods with it not running and you may have other mechanical complication (something called "lot rot"). I don't want to sound negative, but as one consumer to another, I'd hate to see you go through that kind of headache. It could really be a good deal if it checks out and I truly hope so. Just do not make a move until you get it checked out. And try to do some research on "lot rot" or the effects of a vehicle just sitting for long periods. Good Luck
