I have a 1998 Lincoln Navigator and the check engine light keeps coming on. It doesn't stay on it comes on an blinks. The car kind of shimmies/shakes.

I don't knowif you are still having the problem, but I had the same problem on my 1999 and it wasone of the coil ignogtion packs going bad.

check engine light flashing usually means missfire may need coil packs or just a tune up.

Mine is doing that right now. I took it in to be looked at. The 2nd cylinder is misfiring. The guy said a tune-up should solve the problem. I hope so considering I just spent $1700 having the front end fixed.
