sry to waste your time with my problem but i have never read anything on if this were to happen. i am working on a 92 dodge stealth es 3.0L v6 dual overhead cam 6g72. i started with and engine from JDM not the best but are cheap. i just bought the car and had a timing belt go. well i was doing good had the old motor out and it almost finshed just had to the the timing belt and pullys. i had the cranks for the cams were zip tied in place where they wouldnt move but i could still get the belt off. well i took off one of the pullys and started to take off the belt. then i herd 'tink' and stopped. i looked and the cams had turned and broke the zip ties. i didnt know that there were that much force on the cam. so the engine wasnt running and i havent moved the crank what should i do? thanks

the first thing is to get a manual. the engine came off a certain make and model of car and that is what manual you need. Haynes, Chilton anything is better than nothing. All V motors have dual Camshafts. Now you got yo make sure you have the shafts in the right timing order when you pput on the new timing belt. Take oout the spark plugs.
