I am having a problem with leaking from the bottom fitting of my transmission cooler, which is inside the Radiator. This is feed from the transaxle and is pumped upwards to the top fitting.
Last time I had this problem I cut the Factory fitting off and replaced with a brass fitting and hose clamped the dam thing. It worked fine, however this time not so lucking!!
I was also wondering if there should be suction on the return line, so I disconnected the top fitting from the radiator and started the engine briefly and there was no suction. In fact I blew into the return line and it seemed it was blocked.
Can these things get airlocked?? And what is the operating pressure of a cooler line?

They cannot get Airlocked, The Operating pressure of a TRUE cooler line is about 300 *** (that is what can be sent through it ) You may be trying to blow into a Check Valve Built into the fitting (it will only flow one way !)
