Hi all, Recently I was in a car accident - not my fault, but sadly my old car seems to be totaled. It was a 2000 Plymouth Neon I got new in 1999 - I took fairly good care of it, and it treated me right for a lot of years, but sadly I guess I have to move on now. I just got the call from the insurance company today and now I'm looking for another car. I'm not a guy that really cares about style or "kick" in my car - I only want a car that's reliable and gets good gas mileage. I'm not sure yet, but the insurance company will probably want to give me in the neighborhood of $2,500 or so for the Neon. I'm willing to kick in a couple thousand extra if need be. So, in this forum's opinion, what's the best reliable, low gas mileage car one could expect to find for under $5,000 or so? I appreciate any help.
