My friend is selling his Honda Accord for $1000, it runs pretty well, my only concern is that it has about 213,000 miles. I'm not necessarily looking for some long term solution, but rather a car to get me back and forth from college and just around locally. Should I but it, or hold off for something better? Please help me out with some good advice

I'm really not a Honda fan but I have to give credit were credit is due. These cars last for ever. Anyway if I were you I would hold off because you can find many other Hondas with a lot lets miles, for anywhere from $ 850-3500. Try craigslist.com
God Bless

$1000 for a 213,000 mi? uhhh... i say save your money for a car that has less mileage. they're out there. and not hard to find. my honda civic has 200,000 some odd miles on it, and i wouldnt dare sell it for over $1000 haha
good luck!

Hold off for something better and definitely something with less miles. You might want to consider entering a lease contract for like 3 to 5 years, at least the car you get will be brand new. With gas prices going up really fast, you will want a car that does not consume too much in such a short time. Hope this helps.
