My friend owns a 92X Saab, 2007. She was told by the dealer that if Saab did not perform all maintenance on the vehicle, and that if she skipped any service her warranty would be void. She is scheduled for a 30K mile service which the dealer has warned is going to cost $400.00. This seems unreal to me that ANY cars service should cost $400.00 for a 30K mile check up. Something does not seem right to me.

A SAAB like any new car comes wih a written warranty and a lot of other written paperwork. This is what constitutes the obligations between the owner of the vehicle and the manufacturer. Not what anybody says.
If you are really interested in exactly what constitutes a 30 thousand mile check up and the accompanying paperwork that your friend MUST receive when it is done then I suggest you read up.
By he way ,,they bill out labor at around 90 dollars an hour or more so the final bill in my opinion will greatly exceed $300.00
Write down ahead of time all your questions and go back to the dealer,,no phone calls, ,and get all thae answers you want answered,,,do not assume anything with a dealer or any other shop.
