I have a 2003 Ford Expedition (Eddie Bauer) 5.4 L engine,2WD,auto trans,
The problem I am having is trying to remove the front brake rotors to have them resurfaced. I am used to the spindle with two cone shaped roller bearings held on by a nut with a cotter pin, that the brake rotor is mounted onto(with a dust cap at the end of the spindle). This system looks to me as if it is mounted onto a hub of some sorts with a non-tapered roller bearing in the center of the rotor. I am at a loss on how to remove this or if this has to be done by an auto shop that has a special tool to remove the hub and rotor.
Any input would be greatly appreicated.
Thanks s46rlc
