I'm looking into getting a new used car. But I'm so torn I have turned to the public. I want to get either an Audi S4 or a BMW 330ci. I have pros and cons about both, but I really am having a hard time deciding. If you have any insight on what I should do please let me know. Any pluses or minuses? Any personal experience? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Split2ways, I too am looking into a new car and becauseI cannot yet aford the Maserati I want I have been looking at the same BMW.  I don't know if my personal opinion would count for much but here's my two cents.  Although both car makers specialize in luxury cars, I believe that BMW is a little better thought out.  I really like the sexy style of the BMW and think the Audi looks a little more frumpy, for lack of a better adjective.  I also believe (and this may depend on the city you live in) that the BMW's maintenance costs could be considerably lower due to the fact that there are several BMW (specific) dealerships, as well as many high-end dealerships that sell BMW's and so parts & service is plentiful.  If I were wanting to buy a brand new Audi today the I only know of one dealership where I could do that, but I know of 6 different BMW dealerships in and around my city (Vancouver, BC).  Resale prices?!  I don't know what the Audi is going for but I'm looking at a 2002 BMW 330ci and it's easily in my price range, it has had no recalls or deficencies (sp?) and I have a lot of friends who own BMW's who say they are a joy to drive, even ones that are a few years older and perhaps were bought used.
As long as I think the car will be okay in my line of work, I am going the BMW route.  (I'm in marketing for a construction firm and visit construction sites often, I also have to present a smart and professional image and for a used car I think this one does well!
Cheers... hope my thoughts help you but the truth is... there is never really a tough decision to make; just go with your gut and use common sense.  You'll buy the car you really want, regardless of what other people say.
