After 4 trips to get an intermediate steering shaft replaced (which wasn't even fixable due to no replacement parts) my trans slipped at 16000 miles. Diagnosis internal radiator ruptured causing trans fluid and coolant to mix. Trans was overhauled, pistons, rings, etc replaced. Moral of the story is, what are the future ramifications of this serious of a problem at 16000 miles? Am I to expect damage of other components due to wrong fluids in wrong places? Can I ever really discern what hoses, seals, etc have been contaminated? Should I sit back and accept the repair, or demand GM buy back this vehicle? There were 26 parts on my ticket that were replaced, and the repair took a week, I want to know if this is really fixed, or am I to look forward to a life in the service department..I would really appreciate some input.
