Ok here's the thing my friend has a 83 dodge d150 with a 79 Cordoba 360 in it. it leaked lots of oil outta the manifold and valve covers so we replaced the gaskets. Ran lots better that day, it sat for a week then we started it again and it ran terrible. we messed with the distrubitor cap a little and it got better so we replaced cap rotor plugs and wires. NOW it won't start at all we have gone on 2 replace the coil, ignition mod, voltage regulator, the resister, carburetor, and distributor. it hits and kicks every now and then but it's random we have a 1700 mile drive we have 2 make in 1 week and we are almost outta ideas any help of ideas would be welcome

hi i suggest first check if coil is fine have it tested if it does spark from coil to rotor take off cable from rotor and use screwdriver on cable and make sure your hand does not touch any metal cause it will shock u, then use screwdriver near any metal is grounded, try not make screwdriver touch metal but very close like a gap. see if u can see sparked then check wiring diagram before it reach rotor, if yes check rotor or after coil wiring diagram
