Hey to all of u, I have a guestion, and that is that I have a 1989 Pontiac Firebird, and it currently has a bad 305 TBI motor. I also have a 1982 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Dounham with a 305, 4 barrel . And I want to take the motor out of the delta and put it in the firebird cause the firebird is a lot better shape and has a rare suspension package under it. The delta runs fine and gets up and moves. But everyone I have asked has told me that the delta motor wont go into the firebird ??? Can anyone give me some advice here???

It won't mate with the transmission. Also, the Delta motor was designed with a very low, flat acceleration curve; it only feels like it gets up and moves because of the sloppy, boat-like suspension. Plus, if you ever wanted more power, you'd be out of luck because there aren't many parts for it.
