Hi - I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix, and the other day I was involved in a wreck. The thing I'm concerned about is that my airbags did not deploy. Does anyone know the criteria for deployment? miles per hour, etc.?

Hi, I was also in a car crash and my airbags didnt deploy. I have a 2003 toyota Matrix also. Do you know who to contact in suing Toyota?

Hello,
For the air bags to deploy it has to be a direct head on collision. There can be no lateral motion at all. So even an angled hit in the front won't deploy the airbag. That way if you are off center the airbag won't hurt you. I don't know what occured in either of these accidents but i hope that information is helpful.
