How do you negotiate for an 07 when 08s are out? Rebates?

I am looking to buy an 07 Nissan Armada when there are 08's out right now.  The invoice for the 07 is $31,775.  A dealer offered a MSRP of $36,025 but is offering the SUV after rebates for $29,850 which to me seems like a great deal with a $6,000 rebate.  Now the problem is that I am supposed to negotiate from the invoice price but since the 08s are out, I can't really negotiate using the $31,775 invoice price right?

What I am wondering is if this would be a great deal or not.  Part of me says yes since that the SUV has zero miles on it but then another part makes me wonder if that $6,000 rebate really helps the dealership more than me.  Does the rebate mean that the true invoice price for the 07 should be $25,775 (Inv $31,775-Reb $6,000=$25,775) thus making a $4,075 profit ($29,850-$25,775= $4,075) off of me?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

I have no idea, but i do know that buying a brand new car is such a waste of money.  After you drive your brand new car off the lot the value of it depreciates about five thousand dollars.  My only advice to you is to go to a used carlot or try to get a used one wholesale, because it's much more valuable to you than a brand new one!

try midTNautos.com that's where I got mine and got a great buy for it!!
goodluck!
