I have a 92 dodge garnd caravan 3.3. the code for the coolant temp sensor has been comming on occasionally when engine temp is between cold and normal, dies occasionally. been going on for about a year. Each time I purchase new coolant temp sensor, and put it in car runs like crap and the check engine light comes on and car doesn't want to start, smells like it's flooding.When I put old sensor back in, runs fine except for occasional problems.Finally went to NAPA and paid big bucks for sensor. Same thing. This is a California air standards car.Any suggestions as to the problem?
