Electrical Problem In 1999 Chrysler LHS

Our 1999 Chrysler LHS and was a beautiful car aesthetically.  Within a short time, however, the car developed a bizarre problem in that the cab lights started to flicker on and off by themselves.   We would look out the window at night and see the cab lights on in the middle of the night.  Sometimes they would flicker and, at other times, they would be steady for a time.  The dealer told us that this was not covered in the warranty and refused to even examine it without cost to us.  Eventually, we started going through batteries as the problem started draining and killing those.  I was told that it was probably the headlight switch, which I promptly had replaced, but the problem returned.  This problem renders the car extremely unreliable and we never know when we might become stranded somewhere when this phantom electrical problem causes battery failure.  Most of the power windows stopped working just after the warranty expired as well as other problems, mostly electrical ones.  Can you “please” furnish any useful information on this phantom electrical problem or otherwise help out?   Thanks Much.

The courtesy lamps are activatied by the body control module when the door ajar switch tells it to. The door ajar switches are part of the door lock motors.
