I've changed the battery and had the alternator checked.  Something is draining the battery and the car is completely dead by morning.  I've checked the amps nothing seems abnormal.  The headlight is dim and a new bulb didn't work so I replaced the relay and that didn't work. Help please!!

yesterday my visit to dealer about 1-yr old VW batt. went dead. just parked. had this b-4. be sure to arm the system when you lv it. apparently the sys will drain the batt if not armed. (red lite blinking @ driver door lock) i've got a 2002 wagon, used & never had a better car altho dealer support has been imp. (just changed hands---stay tuned.) sounds like maybe yr prob is more complex. electrical beyond just batt. if this is so, I'd shop around for another dealer or somebody who knows the VW elec. sys. also, if you continue to have prob. I'd ax 'when does the factory guy come around?' they usually come periodically & you might get a talk w/ him/her. otherwise I'd write to the factory in PA. one-yr old VW bat.=$125. no cy of the warrranty but verbally informed the warranty is 1 yr. I'm now an oldie but have learned the hard way, a good dealer is pretty much the ans. Best luck!!!
