A thought-provoking article appears on the website of Associated Content, a media group. It suggests that persons shopping for a used car ought to consider a new one. No, it’s not just that dealers may have a glut of certain new models, even new cars from the last model year, still on their lots. Or that a new car with less optional equipment may be available for the same price as a used model with more bells and whistles.

Rather, it’s the way that commissions are paid for the car salesman.

The salesman’s commission is larger for selling a used car than for selling a new one of the same price. Hence, many salesmen would rather sell a used car than sell a new one for that price.

This article is a joke! If you believe this I have a bridge in San Francisco that is for sale, as well as some property in Florida that hardly ever floods. A new car loses thousands of its value buy just driving it off the lot. I personally have never purchased a new car due to its depreciation. Any primary schooler who can add will agree. If your basing agood deal on what the salesman's commission is your missing the forest for the trees. What a saleman's commission amount is makes no difference to a "good buy". The are numerous great web sites to research from Nada.com, who is more releastic to Autotrader.com. BEWARE many sites favor a new car dealership by promoting them. Below are a few links about auto buying.
