My ignition keylock assembly stuck on me about two days ago and it wouldn't budge. That evening I went to Autozone to get a new one so I could attempt to replace myself. However dircetions stated that it had to be in run position in order to remove on this vehicle. Unfortunately mine was in the off/lock position. I read something on the internet (not on this message board) that to remove the old keylock assembly on this vehicle if it were in the off position that you could drill the holding pin out of the old and it would pop out and this would avoid having to remmove the entire steering column. In all fairness it did mention to try this at own risk. Unfortunately I tried this and now have a broken drill bit in the old keylock assembly and its still not budging.
Any good ideas on how to get this out still without taking it in somehwere?
