Mazda or Subaru?

I just got my lisence, and i'm debating whether to get an 07 Subaru Impreza WRX, or an 07 Mazda3 Hatchback. what do you guys prefer?

My Mom said she'd give me her 2006 Ford Escape XLT w/ a V6, but I'd prefer the Subaru or the Mazda instead.

UH!  Now i think i want an 07 Mustang GT coupe. My mind changes rapidly, but I'm still holding on to the idea of the Mazda or the Subaru. But would thinking of the Mustang change the odds at all?
