ok I'm new here so bear with me have an automatic 89 toyota corona import, when I put the vehicle in drive, it does not engage until engine is revving high, then it slowly jerks into gear.  It does this in all forward gears, reverse is fine.  Is it likely that the bands need adjusting, or do you think the trans needs replacing?  Any information or tips on adjusting the bands, or if somebody could point me in the direction of a website etc. that might be able to help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.
