Go to your tyre dealer and tell him you want to change to regular tyres I did for my 2007 328I and I couldn't be happier, reset light no problem $375.00 and I'm done.
Extremely Happy..

GOOD LUCK..

I have a 2005 Mini S, with the 17 inch rims,
(245/45R17)Goodyear, Eagels run flats. The 2 back tires have bubbles in the sidewalls.
I want to replace all the tires with Regular radials tires (NON-RUNFLATS). Does anyone know if there's a problem mounting regular radials on these rims?

We are about to complete our 3-year lease on our 2006, BMW 650.  The performance on the tires of this car over its life has guaranteed that we will never purchase another BMW with run-flat tires.  Hopefully, this posting will educate potential future owners of a BMW to reconsider their pursuit.  While leasing this vehicle, we have been forced to replace (5) run-flat tires due to road hazards.  On 4 of 5 of those incidents, the rims needed to be replaced as well.  In addition, the complete set of tires had to be replaced at 20-25,000 miles for normal wear.  During this time, no financial assistance or relief was provided from BMW or the dealer despite numerous requests.  To aggravate matters, BMW insists that there is nothing wrong with the car's design and that it is the roads in New Jersey that are the problem.  My wife uses the car to commute to and from work utilizing only major highways.  The most annoying thing about this whole situation is the fact that BMW insists on calling the tires "high performance" in every conversation.  I cannot think of a more inappropriate name for this tire design.  Please do yourself a favor and consider this feedback prior to entering into any agreement with BMW.
