My Rodeo makes a high-pitch sound, like a tea kettle when the engine is cold, and then it goes away. The dealer has changed serpentine belt, water pump, timing belt, tensioner and pulleys, EGR valve, and the darn noise still continues... Has anyone seen this problem? I am going broke and the dealer has lost all my confidence in them...

I have a 1999 Rodeo that does the same thing. I can't find it either. I wonder if it isn't the serpentine belt rubbing the sides of the pulleys until they warm up and the sound stops?

If the power steering is leaking perhaps air is getting trapped in the lines.
