This past weekend I was towing a 36 foot 5th wheel with my 1996 Ford F250 Turbo Diesel with a 7.3 engine. Auto Trans and the truck only has 67K miles on it. It is also a 2 wheel drive. The trailer weights about 11K lbs when empty and has some supplies in it. The truck pulls this trailer very well and maintains a 60 to 65 mph speed on the freeway, but I noticed when I was pulling away from a stop light that i was getting a little shutter from the rear end when I started out. it went away as soon as I was under way but it still concerns me a little. Any suggestions on what it might be would be helpful.

Is it a stick? If so, have the gearbox checked. I've seen that before in older trucks and couldn't figure it out until someone told me it is often synchro wear.

Those make nice pulling units but have found a few weak spots in the A4OD. I suggest a heavy duty torque convertor, extra tranny cooling with a external cooler and deep tranny pan, and lastly a lock-up torque convertor delay box.
