Buying last year's model question

I want to buy a new Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited and just visited a dealer who had a new 2006 model still on the lot. Any idea how much of a discount or deal I should expect for a new 2006 vehicle when the 2008 models are just around the corner?

Should I be afraid, or is this a good opportunity to get a good deal?

Thanks!!!

I wouldnt be afraid and yes, you should be able to get a good deal on it (even though its been my experience that Toyota dealers never want to deal any lower than stick price).
You should be able to get it for AT LEAST $1,000 below sticker price.  If they wont let you haggle them do or throw some extras in with the deal (free oil changes, ect) walk away.  With the new Highlander coming out soon they should be eager to sell the old ones they have sitting on the lot.
