1994 Town car with about 115,000 miles, AZ car now in NY. It was my fathers car and he did use it for towing. I had the transmission rebuilt because it was slipping and I believe it was down shifting out of O/D. Since the rebuilt, no more slipping. The transmission still seems to be down shifting ocassionally though. The shop I took it to was recommended to me by a customer and a repair shop. Cost $1,350 one year warranty. I'm fairly convinced the problem is electrial.I think I read somewhere that it could be some sort of electrical switch. Any ideas what/where the problem is and how much to cost. Thanks, Dave

Could it be a TR/MLP sensor?? Is that hard to test/replace?

I think you trouble maybe the overdive servo piston. you need to have a transmission shop remove valve body replace servo piston first',you can also have the solenoids replaced at the same time the oil pan is down. this all can be done without transmission removal. if this doesn't cure your trouble the transmission will need to be remove and futher repair.
